Powerful Results From A Far  

"As a mental health professional, I appreciate Tanya’s emphasis on an intuitive, holistic approach. She does not rely on shaming or harmful techniques to garner results. Rather, she is compassionate, empathetic, collaborative and insightful. I found this to be a very refreshing change from the typical “personal trainer”: I felt like a whole person, not just a body to be improved upon.

Working with Tanya does not mean you have to lose yourself in complicated food plans or punishing work outs. It does, however, mean that you will find out quite a bit about yourself and engage in a lot of self-reflection along the way. As I continue along the road of acceptance, I feel privileged and supported in knowing that Tanya will be there along the way.

I loved working with Tanya because she supported a shift in mindset and a movement towards becoming more accepting of my body. During our phone conversations, I found myself having revelation after revelation about the way I feel about all sorts of things, beyond the physical. "Since overcoming an eating disorder in 2006 I have struggled to find a healthy and sustainable way of losing the weight I gained during recovery.  I would spend months working hard, losing 10 to 20 pounds only to have everything crash and all the weight return.  This happened over and over again.  Finally in 2009 everything came together when I met Tanya.

Tanya helped me develop a healthy and positive relationship with my body and in doing so balance and peace came into my heart, body and mind.  As an intense person, I thrive off of intense experiences.  I came into the three-month program expecting to be worked super hard.  However, the experience became so much more. 

Yes, I was worked hard but it was so different from any of my expectations.  I was working with my body, not against it.  All of Tanya’s direction felt so intuitive and natural and I finally began to make peace with my body.  It’s a beautiful thing! 

The bonus to it all was that even after three weeks of what felt like doing nothing, I was feeling stronger, healthier, happier and lighter.  Not only that, but I no longer was holding on to my initial expectations of shaping the “perfect” body.  Being comfortable with who I am, became much more satisfying than defining my body with specific numbers.  In all honesty, the physical progress I made in the first month was nearly the equivalent of what I had accomplished in three months of dedicated strength and marathon training.

Tanya brought me everything that I was looking for and more.  I cannot thank her enough for the beautiful lifestyle she has shared with me.  It’s definitely a sustainable way of life and much more satisfying and healthy than anything I could imagine."
