Shiva Tribute – Spring 2022

This ritual performance piece was created during our Winter 2022 class session and performed for Sparq Productions annual ONE Show and the first ever “India Fest” in Calgary.  This dance was created to pay respect to the energy of Shiva the transformer through the 4 classical elements: fire, water, air, earth and their Sumerian correspondences to the 4 directions (south, west, east, north).

This piece was inspired by the new life of the Spring and as a celebration for one of our dance sisters, Kristine Alamazan who was 7 months pregnant at the time of this performance. We danced with her in abundance, fertility, creativity, life and love. We have the choice for happiness. We have the choice for a better life – a life of our creation. We can create a better world for generations to come!

Goddesses of the Night – Autumn 2022

This show was a ritualistic tribute to the 6 weeks of the year when the nights are the longest – a time from ancient to present where we go through an internal transformative process of reflection and surrender. Over a 12 week period (from Equinox to Solstice) we called in the protection, wisdom and strength of the goddesses that rule the darker days – the longest nights. We offered 3 different performance stages at 3 auspicious times during the last half of the Autumn season until the eve of the darkest day of the year.

Calgary Glow Festival 2020
with The Earth Harp Collective

Feb 14-16th 2020, Calgary Downtown Association filled Stephen’s Avenue with pure bliss! We were invited by BassBus to perform LIVE with William Close and the Earth Harp Collective! We had so much fun with Amy Sigil’s ITS dance format to flow seamlessly with live instrumentals. Over 50,000 Calgarians came out to enjoy this special event and we had so much fun interacting with such an amazing audience!
